All of the high lakes are now open and fishing good. it is a great time of year for some great hiking, camping, and fishing. the fishing is primarily for smaller brook trout though lakes like Legore, Hawk, Hobo and Prospect Lake have bigger rainbow trout, but are more demanding to hike into.

"Gods Country". That's what you will be thinking after hiking into the marvelous high lakes of the Wallowa mountains. Starting at 6 miles all the way up to 15 there is a lake for all ages.
