7/12/2026 Wallowa Lake report

The lake has been producing lots of fish over the last couple of weeks. The best spot on the lake without a doubt has to be where the river come into the head of the lake. the vast majority of the fish being caught are in the (8-14 in) range due to the recent stocking of the lake, but those fish have been a blast due to how aggressive they have been to any fly you throw at them. we have gotten reports of people catching them on small dries, big dries, nymphs, euro nymphs, and even streamers. really anything you want to throw at them has a high chance of success.
