Imnaha River "Blue Hole" 8/22

Still plenty of bull trout around the blue hole - but they have seen a lot of fishing pressure as of late. Best to camp at the hole and fish first light. The bulls are less inclined to take streamers, so consider small (size 18 - 20) nymphs fished near the bottom - or even grass hoppers. In the evening bulls can be seen slurping tiny midges off the surface. However, a fisher recently reported catching two nice rainbows and a large bull trout on a big streamer - a green and white dali lama.
